Ryan Pryor


Ryan (he/him) is an LGBTQ+ affirming spiritual director, minister, and community organizer who loves creating spaces for everyone to encounter the beauty of themselves, life, and the divine. Ryan is a graduate of Baylor University and Fuller Theological Seminary, a certified interfaith spiritual director through Spiritual Guidance Training Institute, a certified Grief Companion, and a member of Spiritual Directors International. He enjoys trail running, writing music, and spending time at the beach with family. Ryan is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and serves as lead pastor of a progressive and contemplative community for LGBTQ+ belonging, eco-spirituality, and justice in Los Angeles, California. A few of Ryan’s areas of interest are radical theology, contemplative practices, and progressive politics. Ryan is currently a Doctor of Ministry candidate, exploring the intersections of spiritual direction, interspirituality, and justice work in a secular age. Ryan has been featured by BBC’s The Documentary, The Environmental and Energy Study Institute, Baptist News Global, Spectrum News, and Religion Unplugged, and has been recognized by the California Senate for his advocacy work.
